Neon Runner
🎮 Touch: left half tap = jump, right half hold = duck. Keyboard: Space/↑ jump, ↓ duck. One life — instant restart. The Chrome dino's neon big brother: real graphics, two actions instead of one — jump the spikes, duck the drones — plus a daily seeded track the whole world races. One life, one more run.
How to play
- Your runner never stops — tap the left half (or Space/↑) to jump the pink spike strips and barriers; hold for full height, release early for a short hop.
- Violet drones fly low: hold the right half (or ↓) to duck under them — standing into one ends the run instantly.
- Every 500m the speed tier climbs and the screen pulses — the milestones are where the real distance records live.
- The Daily Track is one seeded obstacle sequence, identical for every player on Earth that day; Classic is the endless chase for your all-time best.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the Chrome dino game?
It is the same one-button spirit taken further: real neon graphics instead of gray stick figures, a second action (duck) that adds real decisions, and speed tiers with milestone pulses. The runner genre itself is public domain — this is our own original implementation.
How does the daily track work?
Every UTC day the date is hashed into a seed that fixes the entire obstacle sequence, so two players on opposite sides of the planet face the exact same track. Your best daily distance is stored per day and feeds the site-wide streak.
What is a good distance?
Casual first runs land around 400–800m. Crossing 1,000m means you have internalized the duck timing; 2,500m+ puts you in the top tier of players, where reaction to back-to-back doubles at max speed decides everything.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes — the screen is split into two invisible zones: tap anywhere on the left to jump, hold anywhere on the right to duck. No buttons to miss mid-run, and the whole game plays with two thumbs.
