Neon Typing

🎮 Desktop: just type A–Z; Space starts, P pauses, M mutes, Enter restarts. Touch: tap the input box to open the on-screen keyboard (simple mode with short words).

Not a typing trainer — a typing arcade: a 60-second neon sprint where words drift toward a red line, every mistake kills your combo, and the Daily Challenge serves the exact same word stream to the whole planet.

How to play

  1. Press Space (or tap Daily Challenge) and just type: the word whose letter you hit lights up — finish it before it drifts across the pulsing red line, or you lose one of your three lives.
  2. Every completed word scores 10 points per letter; chain words within the 2-second combo window and the multiplier climbs to x2 at 5 and x3 at 12. One wrong key breaks the chain — accuracy is the real boss.
  3. WPM (characters / 5 per minute) and accuracy update live at the top; the run lasts exactly 60 seconds, or until three words breach the line.
  4. The Daily Challenge deals one word stream hashed from the UTC date — identical for every player worldwide — and your finish card (WPM, accuracy, best combo, rank) is ready to share. Practice mode serves a fresh stream anytime.

What is Neon Typing?

How is my WPM calculated?

The standard formula: correct characters divided by 5, divided by elapsed minutes. Accuracy is correct keystrokes over total keystrokes, so every wrong letter is visible the moment it happens — and it breaks your combo.

What is the daily typing challenge?

Each UTC day the date is hashed into a seed that builds one word stream, so every player on the planet types the exact same words. Compare WPM and rank, and grow your day streak.

Do I need an account or a download?

No — no signup, no install, no ads inside the game. It runs entirely in your browser on desktop keyboards, and on phones it falls back to a simple mode with short words via the on-screen keyboard.
